Elmvale Acres is an older suburb in the south central part of Ottawa, and is well established. This family friendly neighbourhood is characterized by small, square, cottage roofed, 1950s bungalows, as well as larger 1950 and 1960 ranch style bungalows. Houses are relatively close together compared to their neighbours in Alta Vista, but are well set back from mature tree-lined streets.
Surrounded by several main thoroughfares, Elmvale Acres is accessible to many parts of Ottawa. Near to shopping and services, Elmvale Acres is also home to National Museum of Science and Technology just off of St. Laurent Blvd.
