Extending east from the Rideau River and just north of the Queensway, Overbrook is an established community with quick access to the downtown core. It is a mature area, which boasts a mix of small war-time houses and bungalows. New infill construction of single detached and row housing, in addition to premium condominium units along the park bordering the river suggest this neighbourhood is poised to grow. Small scale commercial enterprises line Donald Street on the Northern perimeter. While the neighbourhood is quiet and residential, it is nestled conveniently close to St. Laurent Shopping Centre, the big box stores of the Train Yards Complex and Coventry Road, as well as Montreal Rd. and Beechwood Ave. to the East.
