Increasingly noted for its convenient location and charm, West Centertown is a neighbourhood to watch. Located very close to the downtown core, West Centertown is one of the most diverse communities in Ottawa. Little Italy, in the midst of revitalizing its centre on Preston Street, is rapidly acquiring a chic new urban flair. Also home to Ottawa’s very vibrant Chinatown, West Centertown boasts many of the finest restaurants and specialty food shops in the city.
The picturesque parks and paths of Rideau Canal and Dow’s Lake are also right nearby. Urban-in-fill of row homes and duplexes compliment the small early century homes situated close to the street, and to each other, which contributes to both an interesting streetscape and a neighbourly feel.
